Warum wir gegen alle Formen der Strafe und Einsperrungen sind
Gegen Autorität und Herrschaft zu sein, beinhaltet für uns auch den Kampf gegen Knäste, Grenzen und Mauern, gegen den Staatsapparat, und gegen das Konzept der Strafe in ihrer Gesamtheit. Als Anarchist_innen begreifen wir Gefängnisse als eins der grausamsten Machtinstrumente, das Leuten das nimmt, was heutzutage im Besten aller Systeme, der westlichen Demokratie, das Wertvollste zu sein scheint: Ihre Freiheit.
Doch ist diese Freiheit eng an Geld gekoppelt und somit der Spaß im Kapitalismus schnell vorbei. Das ist auch einer der Gründe, weswegen die meisten Menschen im Knast sitzen: Weil sie nichts oder nur sehr wenig haben und gerne mehr hätten – gemeint sind Eigentumsdelikte, die fast 2/3 aller Straftaten ausmachen, die Menschen hinter Gitter bringen.
Warum sperrt der Staat Menschen überhaupt weg,? Weshalb halten die meisten Menschen das Konzept der Strafe noch immer für essentiell, und welche Überlegungen gibt es jenseits von Knast?

Why we are against all forms of punishment and imprisonment
For us, being against authority and domination also means fighting against prisons, borders and walls, against the state structure, and against the concept of punishment in its entirety. As anarchists, we see prisons as one of the most cruel instruments of power, taking away from people what seems to be the most valuable thing today in the best of all systems, Western democracy: their freedom.
But this freedom is closely linked to money and so the fun in capitalism is quickly over. This is also one of the reasons why most people go to jail: Because they have nothing or very little and would like to have more – that means property crimes, which account for almost 2/3 of all crimes that put people behind bars.
Why does the state lock people away at all? Why do most people still consider the concept of punishment essential, and what considerations are there beyond prison?
